Who do I treat?
Therapy focuses primarily on treatment for adults with a need for neurological rehabilitation. I address cognitive-communication, speech, and language therapy. I have a passion for working with individuals who have had a stroke, suffered from a brain injury or concussion, have mild cognitive impairment, or have neurodegenerative disease diagnoses (e.g. Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), and Dementia). Additionally, I have experience working with individuals suffering from brain fog secondary to COVID-19, as well as adults focusing on improving executive functioning skills with ADHD.

Do you take insurance?
Medicare Part B Provider: Navigating Neuro Speech Therapy is a certified Medicare Part B Provider for individuals that are 65 years of age or older. Medicare Part B covers 80% of medically necessary skilled services. Following Medicare payment, the remaining cost is sent to your secondary insurance payer.
Private Pay Options: At this time, I am considered out of network for additional insurance policies. I offer private pay options for individuals under 65 that do not have traditional Medicare benefits or for individuals who want to continue to receive specialized treatment beyond the services considered medically necessary by Medicare. When beginning treatment, you’ll receive a good faith estimate (GFE) so that pricing is transparent. A credit card remains on file and is charged on the day of treatment.
Out of Network Insurance: If you decide to continue with private pay options, we are happy to provide you with a monthly invoice (super bill) for you to submit to your insurance for out of network coverage. This will have the codes on it that your insurance company will need for out-of-network benefits. Please be advised that many health insurance plans have limited coverage for speech-language pathology services. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company to discuss the benefits and limits of your policy. Click here for a worksheet you may utilize as a guide when communicating with your insurance carrier regarding coverage. Feel free to reach out to me as needed so I can better guide you and provide you with the necessary CPT codes to obtain the most accurate information from your insurance provider.
What are the benefits of private pay options?
The wonderful part of private pay treatment is that there are NO insurance constraints and treatment has more flexibility to be even more client focused. Less time is required to meet insurance standards allowing treatment to be fully under our control. YOU are the one in charge. YOU can call more of the shots. We are allowed to pivot more easily within and between sessions based on your wants and needs for communication.
What is your cancellation policy?
I request that you provide 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your appointment to allow me to appropriately adjust my schedule. Once you are on the schedule, that time is reserved just for you. I realize there are extenuating circumstances and allow for 1 last minute cancellation. If cancellations persist, I reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee to the card that is on file. If you need to cancel your appointment because of illness or a true emergency, please do not hesitate to let me know, and I can always discuss your specific situation.
